About Village Green Signs

Hello! At Village Green Signs, a family-run workshop based in Kent, we specialise in crafting house plaques that blend timeless design with modern durability.

Here’s how we make our resin signs:

1. Shape selection & moulding: We create a bespoke mould based on traditional cast-iron styles, tailored to your chosen plaque shape and text.
2. Vacuum forming: A heated plastic sheet is vacuum-formed over the mould to capture fine detail.
3. Resin pour: We mix and pour polyurethane resin into the moulds, then let them cure completely.
4. Surface prep: After curing, we trim edges, drill fixing holes and spray a satin black base coat.
5. Hand painting: Our artists hand-paint raised motifs and lettering with acrylics before sealing for weatherproofing.

We use over 800 raised motif designs—choose from animals, flowers, nautical themes, historic landmarks and more. Each plaque is hand-painted right here in our workshop by talented artists.

We're proud to be one of the only UK workshops offering this full resin-casting and hand-painting process in-house. It takes time—typically 6–8 weeks—but ensures each plaque is strong, weatherproof, and made to last.
